would you rather?
Would you rather have a perfect memory or be able to forget anything you wanted at will?
I would rather be able to forget anything I wanted at will. I think the PTSD diagnosis in my chart speaks volumes, and ECT gave me a shitty memory I’m already used to.
Would you rather know when or how you were going to die?
I would rather know when I was going to die because otherwise, I’d drive myself crazy with dread. Like is it going to happen now? Can I stop it? Or just make peace with knowing the date.
Would you rather have to always have to tell the truth or always have to lie about your life?
I would rather to always have to tell the truth. I’ve played the lying game and if the guilt doesn’t get you, having less authentic relationships will.
Would you rather have more time or more energy?
I would rather have more energy. It’s literally the thing I crave most in life. I’d do anything to just have the energy to do whatever I want with.
Would you rather have unlimited knowledge or unlimited creativity?
I would rather have unlimited creativity. It’s the one way I’m able to express myself and even though I’d absolutely love unlimited knowledge, I can’t go without my creativity.
Would you rather give up all the memories you made this year or all of the money you made this year?
I would rather give up all of the money I made this year. Although I’m starting to lean in the other direction, this year was the most transformative year I’ve ever had and I don’t want to forget it.
Would you rather be royalty 100 years ago or an average person today?
I’d rather be an average person today. I want the fight of becoming someone and I wouldn’t want to achieve success as a birthright.
Would you rather spend a week in the jungle or a night in a real haunted house?
This one’s hard for me. I think I have to say the jungle. I’d love to become best friends with all the critters.
Would you rather have to live the same day for a year or take a year off the end of your life?
Take a year off the end of my life. Life’s too short to waste a year in the same place. It would be like death anyway.
Would you rather spend a year at war or a year in prison?
I would rather spend a year at war. I know that’s easy to say but prison would cripple me. I know how to fight but I dread feeling trapped.
Would you rather take back anything you said or anything you’d heard?
Anything I said. I try not to live with regrets but I’ve said things I shouldn’t have and I do regret some of it. If anything, it would clear my soul.
Would you rather live in a treehouse or a cave?
TREEHOUSE. All I ever wanted was a treehouse. I’d pretend I was a monkey and never leave (unless to climb other trees).
Would you rather be in history books for something terrible or be forgotten after you die?
Be forgotten after I die. I’ll get better recognition in the next life.
Would you rather travel the word for free for a year or have $ to spend on whatever you want for a year?
100% travel the world for free for a year. I could go everywhere and use my imaginary free card to pay. And I’d definitely start in Asia.
Would you rather stay this age forever or stay the way you are financially forever?
I would MUCH rather stay this age forever. I’m in my prime, and I plan to make millions.
Would you rather spend a year entirely alone or a year without a home?
This one’s hard but I’d have to say spending a year alone. I’m a home body, and I could make it work if I had to. The strength it takes to be homeless is not something I want to need.
Would you rather build an igloo or a fort?
This is even harder. I think I’d rather build a fort solely because igloos are cold but what an accomplishment!
Would you rather be able to speak any language or be able to talk to animals?
As much as it pains me, I’d rather be able to speak any language. How cool is that? Plus I already think I can talk to animals.
Would you rather detect every lie you hear or get away with every lie you tell?
Get away with every lie I tell. OOPS. Hopefully I’ll never need to.
Would you rather hear a comforting lie or an uncomfortable truth?
An uncomfortable truth. Hit me with it. I’ve heard worse.
Would you rather be forced to leave your home country or never be able to leave your home country?
Never be able to leave the US again. I love traveling, but home is home. I’ll wave my flag and sing the anthem.
Would you rather be the person who flips the switch in executions or the judge that decides who should be executed?
The judge that decides who should be executed. It’s just that you can remove yourself from the situation and blame the law. Flipping the switch is doing the deed.
Would you rather be able to read someone’s mind or control their mind?
Read someone’s mind. I genuinely would never want to control someone, but I could get more insight if I could read their mind.
Would you rather forget your favorite books to read them again or your favorite movies to watch them again?
Books. And that’s already happened! ECT took those books from me but I’m not complaining. Plus, who would not want to read Harry Potter for the first time again?
Would you save three of your closest family members or 1,000 random people?
Sorry world, I’d pick my family. I’m loyal to them no matter what. I know I it’s selfish but I wouldn’t regret it (the biggest lie I’ve ever told).
Would you rather never age physically or never age mentally?
NEVER AGE PHYSICALLY. Call me the talking baby.
Would you rather be more intelligent or more beautiful?
Ummm, beauty can’t be defined, but more intelligent. It’s just way more important to me than beauty is, but that’s something I’ve recently learned.
Would you rather have a conversation with your past self or future self?
I think my past self needs it the most, but my future self might need to be reminded. I’d say future self.
Would you rather live in a world where it always snows or always rains?
A place where it always rains. Have you heard of Seattle? And I like to dance in the rain.
Would you rather discover a new planet or find sunken treasure?
SUNKEN TREASURE. It could be anything! Plus I haven’t gotten over Pluto’s demotion.
